I consider myself a faux paliest, so you won't see dairy or grains on my list. So this is somewhat how my weekly shopping list looks for me:
If you don't know about the paleo diet, click here.
Beans
Cabbage
Low Sodium Chicken Broth
Organic Spinach
Oranges
Chicken Breast
Almond Milk
Bananas
Hummus
Carrots
Eggs
Bacon
Let me explain:
Cabbage is cheap, and it last through the whole week. You really don't have to buy it organic because it's not one of the dirtiest veggies.
Beans are filling and cheap
Low sodium chicken broth can be used to stretch, moisten, and create any meal
Organic Spinach isnt really that cheap, and it's one of the dirty veggies. You should always buy Spinach organic. This is a quick way to create a salad or add veggies to a meal.
Oranges are great to grab when on the go! Didn't put apples because should be bought organic. Wasn't in my budget this time.
I love chicken. I didn't put that much meat because I just don't eat a lot of meat.
Almond milk taste great and is so good for smoothies.
I use hummus for everything. I used it as a dip and as spreads.
Eggs and Bacon are my building blocks for my breakfast.
Bananas are great for on the go, smoothies, and pre or post workout snacks.

Happy Memorial's Day
It's hilariously to me to start my first post on JUNK DAY! Lol. So today is the beggining of Memorial Day weekend, and my family had a bar-b-cue. My guidelines for myself at bar-b-cues:
do eat :
grilled meat(except for hot dogs)
load up on salads and vegs
eat fruit for dessert
do no eat:
hot dogs
cakes
baked beans
I am a true fan of hot dogs, but they are full of lord knows what. The majority of my list of no's are there because they are HIGHLY PROCESSED. This is not good for you because your body will not be able to digest it normally. But, if this is your junk day, don't be to hard on yourself. BUT, do not go over board just because it's a junk day. I like to just eat one junk meal on junk day, instead of eating bad the entire day. Moderation is key!
